A factory for the production of wet wipes has been launched in Kazakhstan

The project is being implemented by a Turkish investor. The finished products are planned to be sold both in the domestic market and export in the future to the countries of the EAEU and Central Asia.

At the first stage, the volume of investments to the project will be about 200 million tenge, and 40 new workplaces have been created. The project capacity of the plant will be about 160,000 packs of napkins per year.

The products of "DALSAN (ДАЛСАН)" LLP factory will be manufactured according to Turkish technology on modern European equipment in compliance with all State standard requirements, ensuring constant quality control at all stages of production.

Disposable wet wipes will be produced in accordance with high international standards and made of soft non-woven material, soaked in antibacterial lotion. The products are intended for sale on the market of corporate clients, in pharmacies, clinics and shops.

At the second stage, the Turkish side plans to build a plant for the production of hygiene products with an additional investment of $ 3-4 million. At the same time, the number of workplaces may be increased to 100 during the second stage.

The production facilities are located on the territory of the Special Economic Zone "Ontustik". The project is being implemented with the assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Akimat of Shymkent, the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic Of Turkey, "KAZAKH INVEST” National Company" JSC, Special Economic Zone "Ontustik".

As of today, Kazakhstan and Turkey cooperate in the field of agroindustrial complex and mining, light and chemical industry, transportation and infrastructure, mechanical engineering, healthcare, tourism, housebuilding, etc. Currently, about 2.5 thousand enterprises with the participation of Turkish capital operate in Kazakhstan.

“During the period of its Independence, Kazakhstan has ensured stable economic development and created a favorable investment climate, with competitive conditions and an efficient eco-system. Along with this, a high level of successful relations between Kazakhstan and Turkey has been achieved. Confirmation of the high rate of development of trade and investment cooperation between Kazakhstan and Turkey is the fact that mutual trade grew to $ 3.1 billion at the end of last year. At the same time, trade turnover over the past three years amounted to $ 6.9 billion", - noted during the facility commissioning by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mr.Almas Aidarov.

I would like to note that this is the third Turkish investment project opening in the Special Economic Zone "Ontustik". Earlier, Turkish investors set up production of carpets and shoes here”, - said Mr.Abzal Saparbekuly.

Mayor of Shymkent Mr.Murat Aitenov told about the work on creating a favorable investment climate in the city during his greeting.

"Favorable conditions for the development of industry have been created in Shymkent. Currently, there are 2 industrial zones, 1 trade and logistics zone, and one special economic zone. 176 projects worth 270 billion tenge are being implemented in the city. More than 10,000 permanent workplaces have been created. Construction of the agro-industrial zone started just a few days ago. It is also planned to open the production zone "Zhuldyz", -said the head of the city.

Currently, 20 projects are being implemented in Kazakhstan together with Turkish businessmen, in Almaty, North Kazakhstan, East Kazakhstan, Karaganda, Pavlodar, Turkestan, Zhambyl regions, as well as in the cities of Nur-Sultan, Shymkent and Almaty. Projects have been implemented in the field of construction and operation, cultivation and processing of agricultural crops, geological exploration, medicine, equipment manufacturing, and the food industry. "We are ready to provide assistance to partners and investors on any issues 24/7 on the list of services provided to investors, as well as provide tools for post-investment service support", -  said Chairman of the Board of "KAZAKH INVEST” National Company" JSC Mr.Baurzhan Sartbayev.
