Kazakhstan and Qatar Strengthen Investment Cooperation

As part of the President of Kazakhstan's oncoming visit to Doha, Gabidulla Ospankulov, Chairman of the Investment Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, held a series of meetings with the leadership of Qatari companies such as JTA International Investment Holding, UR Tranzit, and Al Fakhama Al Arabiya For Project and Trading Services. During these discussions, the parties explored prospects for cooperation in implementing joint investment projects in Kazakhstan.

During a meeting with JTA's Investment Director, Iman Saffar, G. Ospankulov discussed the company’s expertise in financing international projects. Established in 2010, JTA specializes in providing innovative investment solutions for businesses and large-scale projects. Its subsidiaries cover key sectors such as energy, construction, innovation, tourism, transport, healthcare, agriculture, and food security. Corporate centers in Qatar and the United Kingdom ensure strategic management and structured development across the group.

In talks with the founder of UR Tranzit, Abdelrahman Moussa, the parties reviewed the company’s plans for an investment project in Kazakhstan. On November 1, 2024, during the Kazakhstan Global Investment Roundtable (KGIR-2024), the Qatari company held meetings with the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of Kazakhstan, the Baiterek National Management Holding, and KAZAKH INVEST to explore collaboration with QazTechna LLP to establish battery production in the Karaganda region. UR Tranzit is a leading company in electric vehicle mobility, offering comprehensive solutions ranging from vehicle design and production to infrastructure development and after-sales support. Its portfolio includes commercial and passenger electric vehicles, electric buses, electric trucks, as well as the production of lithium batteries, charging stations, energy storage systems, and renewable energy solutions.

During negotiations with Mustafa Al Anani, General Director of Al Fakhama Al Arabiya, G. Ospankulov discussed the company’s interest in investment opportunities in Kazakhstan. Al Fakhama Al Arabiya provides a wide range of services in the food industry, including the trade of meat, food products, fresh fruits, and vegetables. The company has also implemented several projects aimed at the safe disposal of waste, contributing to reducing environmental pollution in Qatar.
